So, this was probably the best present ive ever gotten. This band means so much more to me than anyone will/can understand. For years I’ve battled through depression and I’ve done something’s I’ve regret but no matter what, Set It Off’s music was there for me. I lose myself when I listen to them. I forget about every little problem, and I finally feel like I belong somewhere. Music helps people through a lot of stuff. Set It Off is my band that’s helped me. They’ve shown me that it’s okay to be different because no matter what there’s someone out there who will love you for exactly the way you are. They gave me a second family where I’ve made some of the most amazing friends. When you have a band that’s saved your life, you do whatever you can to get yourself recognized by them and hopefully they remember you. Personally, I feel more than fortunate that they know my face and remember me when I see them. This past year, I finally got to see them after 5 years of waiting. After seeing them four times this year and buying them gifts, writing them a letter, painting them a painting, buying them pizza and just showing up to their shows I honestly feel like the luckiest girl in the world because I got noticed. Honestly, it’s amazing. I never thought little things like that would get me noticed. I never expected it either. It’s just something that happened. Im just great full that I’ve even got to see them more than once. The things this band has gotten me through no one will ever understand. All I can say, music does save lives. Thank you, Set It Off. I have no clue where I’d be with out you. This gift means more to me than anything in the world.
